HGA and Diversity Council are working to convene a virtual human story event modeled after Human Library in late October as part of HGA's 2020 United Way campaign.
HGA People and Culture
A group of Architects, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects, Planners, Researchers, Engineers and support staff with the vision to:
- Start with Curiosity
- Build Empathy
- Do the Hard Work
- Seek Originality
- Leave a Legacy
Human Book titles and their bias lenses:
- "Path to Citizenship" -- immigration, race
- "Black Engineer" -- African-American
- "Ms. Anxiety" -- mental health
- "Speaks Six Languages, Can't Tie Own Shoes" -- disability (ASD)
- "Addict in Recovery" -- addiction
- "Permanent Other" -- immigration
- "Native" -- race
- "Growing Up Fatherless" -- being different, income
