Message from Housing Alliance Admin

Hello Alliance Members!
It was great to see so many from the community attend our meeting yesterday.  For both those who attended and those who were unable to attend we wanted to confirm that we will not be holding a December Alliance meeting because the date and time of our regular meeting conflicts with the Minnesota Affordable Housing Summit  that will be held in Golden Valley at the Golden Valley Country Club from 8:00AM - Noon on Wednesday, December 13th.  There are a lot of exceptional speakers, and we encourage attendance if your calendar permits.
As mentioned during the meeting, the Coalition will provide 8 scholarships to cover the registration fee of $129.00 to attend the Summit for Alliance members.  We are hopeful that these scholarships will provide an avenue for some of our all-volunteer organizations or members that face budget constraints for providing education and professional development opportunities.  If you are interested in a scholarship to attend the Summit, please email JoMarie (jmorris@rochesterarea.org) by December 1st.  We will notify those who are awarded scholarships on December 4th.  Please note that several Alliance members indicate that members should allow extra time when traveling to the event due to traffic at that time of the morning.  If you are interested in carpooling to the event, Jeff Urban (jurban@rochesterarea.org) is happy to try and coordinate rides for as many as possible. Please reach out if you have any questions and we hope many of you are able to attend.
